the leaves are still tenaciously hanging on to the branches outside; winter has threatened but then backed off for a while it seems; the lull before the storm/the beginnings of a new realisation that of veneer of affluence is not as thick as maybe we thought it was. the dawning new financial realities giving us a fresh perspectives on ourselves, our lives and of course our relationships with others....
Pippa has promised us a special soup so that should be tasty. we will consider Jesus' take on priorities. also Paul & Didier have some new (for us ) songs to try out. all this plus coffee, friends, scripture & prayer. starts 5 pm the Undercroft. see top right corner for directions
the emerge library is an exciting resource which will allow anyone at emerge to offer their books, for anyone else at emerge to borrow for a three-week period.
this space will display titles under the name of thier owner, and anyone interested can approach that person at the next gathering to request the book.
if you have some titles you think would be valuable to other emergers, make a list and get to paul. he will provide you with a set of labels to stick in the back cover of your books.
